INT BOOKS acts as a wholesale distributor and sales agent for publishers of print materials and e-books.
We have our own Sales Representatives in each State. Their role is in two parts:
- they visit our key accounts each month with samples and sales materials on the new books for that month.
- they also advise our customers on significant sales, events, publisher and author tours, reviews, etc.
We have a primary warehouse in Melbourne and a small distribution centre in New Zealand managed by our North Island representative.
We handle all sales, invoices, returns and claims, and general marketing for the publishers we represent.
Our special interests are non-fiction and literacy materials. We tend to focus on pre-shool and primary school ages, we have significant middle school and junior secondary non-fiction, including texts and references written for the new Australian National Curriculum.
Our fiction range extends from pre-school board books to YA (Young Adult)
with emphasis on well editied materials and books suitable for reluctant readers across each age range.
We are not standard mass market distributors. Our customers are mainly school and library suppliers, specialist childrens book suppliers, educational toy stores, national park bookshops, literacy specialists, and trade shops with a specialist childrens book buyer.
All our books are detailed on TitlePage, Nielsen Bookdata, and Global Books in Print, and we are registered suppliers to the major chains including Dymocks, the Red Group - Borders, Angus and Robertson, and Whitcoulls, and Independent booksellers through the Leading Edge Group.
